With a knife

Serioulsly, is this for a Royal, if so when I have fed them to Royals before, I just fed them as this chick is and never had a problem.

Get a pair of scissors and cut the belly just between and in front of the legs. Hold over newspaper and run your thumb from the top of the belly down and the yolk should come out.

May be a bit messy the first couple of times but practise makes perfect.

another way of doing it bit messy but does the job well and no risk of bursting the yolk sack cos it goes everywhere usualy in my face lol
hold the chicks cloaca with both hands and just pull apart just like opening a packet of crisps lol then the yolk should slip out and you can pull it away from the body whole with no splash backs lol
works well
