crayfish help

I saw some crayfish in a pet shop the other day. They were really pretty, white and red with medium-sized claws. But then I heard that only one species is legal in the UK. Which species is this? Just wondering because I was thinking of buying one.

Not that one.

Cherax quadricarinatus is the only legal one.

But at the end of the day, who's going to know if you get one?
