use pond liner, would be easiest. if not there are products you can use to seal a concrete pond.

if not Blagdon do a range of preformed ponds, try finding a supplier of them

Hi
Pond liner is the easiest option.
If you are building a raised formal pond then you mght be able to find a plastic square container used for gold fish or koi keeping on ebay or pond supplier. Most are shaped though so would make a raised pond a little more complicated.
If size isnt important you could use the largest plastic water tank you can find. You can get some big ones. Ive got one for my baby koi at around 1.5 by 1.5 m.

build it using dense concrete blocks.

Line it with old carpet. Line that with pond liner. Simple.

Or buy a swimming pool from Argos or something.

firstly! hello... i'm Jon, secondly i was a pond design and builder so woo hoo luckly day for you!

the plastic tub people are referring to is called a vat! very good when used below ground if you don't fancy all the hard work!

for raised ponds you are far better off using blocks rendered with cement and a liner with a sealant call G4 which comes in clear and/or a nice black that will look the nuts with a good set up! i am always on-line and would be more than happy to help you with any Questions just pm me!!

hope i helped a little

you could get to a plumber merchant, they have loads of big plastic vats, varying sizes. Not too expensive either

heres our raised up pond we did ours by digging down a couple of feet then making a wall using breeze blocks then covering with a heavy duty pond liner then cladding in timber, then a couple of years later we built the stream that you can see in the pictures to house the plants to stop the Koi from up rooting them works really well and gives the water an extra filtration

also i know you dont want a big pond but the bigger it is makes it much more easy to filter the water the goldfish pond is three meters by four meteres and the koi pond is 5 meters by 4 meteres i think i'm crap with sizes tend to leave that to O/H!

Clare

this is my gold fish one

and this is the main pond

and some of the plants in the stream
