Default Glass thickness

Hi guys I'm after a big tank 7.5 feet x 24"(h) x30"(w). I have had a good quote in 10mm glass. Is this safe or should it be thicker? Thanks

10mm should be ok because your only going 24" in height any higher then yes but 12mm would prob be better

Its for fish/ turtle. I have a 5x2x2 at the mo and that's 10mm and seems very sturdy. it's a difference of almost 300 quid between 10 and 12mm! Not sure what to do.....

A 5/2/2 should be 10mm over 24" in depth must be 12mm

It seems to be on the cusp. It won't be deeper than 24" and no more than 30" wide, so should be ok.......

It'll be fine it's the height that determines the glass thickness. Over 24" = 12mm.

I've got a 72/30/24 in 10mm. No problems. Just make sure it's built by a good tank builder like nd or Windsor aq.
