Default Fish tank quote

Well I have just had a reply email from boss aquariums with a quote for a tank and was just wondering peoples opinions on the price and if the price is any good? Its just a basic tank no extras or lid ( I think )

36" x 24" x 18" ( L x H x W ) = £115.23

Delivery = £20

Total = £135.23

what's the price like for a tank that size?

Just thought I would post here cos all you fishy people would know about tanks and suitable prices

Is it just the tank, or is it fully fitted? (eg lights, filter)

I would imagine you could get something of a similar size, ready built from an aquarium shop cheaper than that.

That's a shame. There's a few good one's in Glasgow. I've seen a stunning 6x2x2 full set up for £600 that I am dying to buy in one.
Maybe try calling Trade Aquatics in Falkirk - although I believe them to be part of BOSS so the quote may be similar.

3 feet wide X 18 inches deep X 2 foot tall? my big tank is that size... a 65 gallon...

that's a great size. mine was like $500 new but it was a setup... light, versa tops and oak/pine cabinet stand...new.

the tank weighs 100lbs empty... it's a $150 or so tank here new.

it's habu-approved...

Well from having a look online the cheapest I can find is...
Aquariums Ltd UK -
£144.73
So BOSS seem to be the way to go. The guy at Trade Aquatics is pretty nice so still might be worth calling.
