Default Tropical's

Hey guys!!

I decided to take some peoples advice and I've sorted meself out some tropical fish. a few guppys, neon's, albino cories, 2 shrimp and a snail!!

Thing is my tank is stioll so extremely empty! Lol.

Just wandering is there anything else i can put in there who will play nicely, Looking for something a tad bigger than these sizes, i dont know maybe theres a a fishy out there that is happy on his own in terms of similar fish or something that grows a bit bigger without eating my neons!!!

My daughter loves them and so does the fiance!! Especially the guppies!! their amazing.

Thanks in advance for any advice given

Matt.

What about Rainbow fish like the Dwarf rainbow (Melanotaenia maccullochi)

They look really nice in a shoal of 6+ Many of the rainbows are super aquarium fish, and have superb irredescence to their scales.

some cichlids...although small ones haha.
is it a tall or long? what are the dimensions?

tbh u could stuff it full of guppies and it would look really cool. with a plec...although bear in mind plecs get to 2ft plus...well commons do which is the cheapest and most available out there.

im not sure what solitary fish u could house by itself.
MOST large cichlids and solitary fish (exc lungfish lol) get to 12-18" give or take. unless u go for a 6x2x2 i wouldnt recommend anything for it solitary.

oh or barbs, they get slightly bigger...but tbh for more action and prettier just keep ur guppies. plus if u raise the temp to 29degrees C then they should breed like hell so dont overstock now

Thanks for all the feedback !!!

I might look at the rainbow fish or i might just keep guppies lol not sure yet.

About the breeding, never done it before, should i find i've got a whol;e load of lil ones what should i do with them and such? nothing in my tank is more than about 3-4cm long at the mo.

As for pleco's and such, ive got some albinno corys who seemed to be quite the lil scavenger lol and a golden snail which is cute as!

So yeah any advice on what to do should i get a set of babies would be great! thanks
