Fair do's! I think its fair to say, in general, you're running a risk doing that?

I guess you run a risk with anything, you can run a risk putting two turt's in same tank, i fully agree it is down to individual temperment. My map turt and 1 of my YBS lloved playing with the lil fish i had with em for a while, my big girl however, big difference she thought was food time so i removed them.

exactly!!! i'm only ranting cos on several forums i have this arguement and i'm sick of people telling me i'm wrong so there's proof. it is down to temprement some of mine dont have a care in the world where as some are different. i have one little fella who will try to destruy everything even me but my arguement is trial and error just keep a close eye on them. at least someone agree's with me for a change!!! |

I guess it depends on the species of the fish and the turt too. If you had a slow and small turtle and some fast large fish then, why not. I'd consider it, especially with nocturnal or crepuscular turts to add something interesting during the day.

Oh that's great. I'd love to add a turtle to my fish tanks but I daren't risk it so I'll prob set up a separate tank for one...eventually!
