Default Gourami's and Butterfly Fish

I have have some gourami's in my tank (moonlight, indian, opline, gold and pearl) and just recently added some dwarf neon rainbows

I was looking for something a tad different in there, and the lfs recommended some butterfly fish, so i got 2, but the prob is i think i may have been given the 'wrong' advice.......some of the gouramis, mainly the moonlight and opline are having a right pop at them and look to be try to nibble at there finnage

Will this settle, or not, as they butterflys are very chilled maybe the gourami's are seeing their finnage as food? - i think i might be better getting them back and looking at maybe some hatchet fish instead?

Any thoughts?

cheers

variations of the three-spot gourami are often quite boistrous, and the extensions on the fins will be too big a temptation

think your best bet would be to get rid of butterflies

or, as ABF are my fav fish; get rid of the gouramis

I would've been more worried about the Dwarf Neons being eaten by the ABFs but I agree with DLE, return them before they're nibbled to bits.

adults would be safe, lightly younger ones might be at risk but i don't think rainbows venture near the surface very often to get snaffled
