Baby River cooters. They are like 2 inch and they are lazy. They will only eat a fish if it is already dead as they can not keep up with the fish to catch them.

They will get about 16" but the bigger they get the less carnivorous they become, and we are not having any problems now and wont so they are fine.

As they get bigger they will become more predatory, in my experience anyway. I've also had other people tell me their turtles have eaten their tankmates...

We had some slider babies and as soon as they got big enough they ate all of the fish in their tank.

I spent around £30 (Trade price) on a three beacon plec Leporacanthicus triactis about 18 months ago. I've seen it out about three times, as it legs it back to it's cave every time anyone goes near the tank it's in. I've triedd feeding in the day, to et it used to coming out in the day (This has worked with other L number cats I have) but not him. It's well annoying!

I have had a pair of these for almost 3 years now and have only seen them out of their coconut cave like 10 times, most of these times the light was off or tank was lit with moonlights.
