Here's a simple and concise guide. Bear in mind there's a lot to consider.

Don`t associate him with my name thank you ,axelrod was a publisher not a fishkeeper.

Once again just goes to show how little you know.

minimum for a pair would be 80-100L personally, hardy easy to keep marine fish but the set-up will cost you to do it right, and its not worth skimping

I'm going to say something to you that's been said to me by every person I've ever loved: I'm really disappointed in you, you are pathetic and weak, and I don't love you anymore. Get out!

Haha, you do make me smile. He was a fishkeeper and publisher. And a jail bird to, but thats another story. I find it odd that you would think someone who writes a book as well known as The Handbook Of Tropical Aquarium Fishes would not be a fishkeeper?

Are you gonna help the OP with his question? I'm just curious to see how good your advise is, seeing as you never post any.

To the OP, different clown species require different sized tanks as their temperament varies. Do you know what type of clowns you want to keep? And do you know how many you'd like in your tank?

My main suggestion is to read whatever you can get your hands on to do with clownfish care, IMO a small-ish 95L tank with a pair of common clownfish and a coral for them to host in would be perfect, however marine keeping is a complex and expensive hobby however anyone could do it if they really try hard. The guide posted by LiamRatSnake is a good one, i suggest joining a mainly marine fishkeeping forum and ask plenty of questions

Hope thats of some help

Dan

Although nems are the best host for clowns they are extremly difficult to keep, even the Bubble Tip Anemone needs intense lighting and pristine water conditions, im sure yours is very healthy but the OP is a novice to marines so might not be the best choice, i would suggest a torch coral or toadstool, but everyone has different opinions

I've read that the easiest species of anemone get far too large, and smaller ones reproduce readily. The ones caught in Wales that you get off ebay aren't brilliant apparently. Bubble-tips are amazing, but I think difficult.
