Default Koi Carp

Hi, I'm a beardy keeper so know nothing about fish!!! My husband manages a home that has 50 koi carp that need rehoming. Does anyone know how much they're worth (between 6 and 18 inches, all colours) and who he could approach to rehome them? Very much appreciated.

From £0-£500. Its impossible to say without knowing more about them. Where did they come from e.g. israeli koi, Japanese koi etc.

Also need to no what type/colour/pattern e.g Ogon,
Hi Utsuri, Sanke etc etc

At the minute you have put something along the lines of "How much is a car worth"-depends if its a Metro or a Ferrari.

Me and my dad know alot about koi so if you could get pictures we could help.

But most likely retail would be £20-£40 maybe £60 at a push for bog standard koi at that size.

Cheers

Why not ask the owner how much they paid for them? That should answer one question. Koi sales are very slow in winter for obvious reasons.

You'd be best getting a fish shop owner round to take a look. The fish you mention will retail from £10 +

Many thanks for your replies - yes, I do realise it was far too general a question and I don't know what type of koi they are, so wasn't expecting accurate answers!! Thanks Renton, we'll try to get some photos and post them. Yes, getting someone round could be a good idea. Thanks!!
