Default Clown Loach Question

Hi,

I have a fairly well planted Rio 180 which has been running for a while now. It is stocked with some really nice X-ray Tetras and Glow Light Tetras. Simple, but nice. Anyway, the other day I added 2 small Clown Loach. They have been in the tank for 3 or 4 days now and all they do is go up and down, one after the other in the back left corner. They don't stop to feed or anything. They have even displaced almost all the sand in that corner.

Any ideas???

Richard

Hmm, well they are shoaling fish, so maybe that could be the reason why? I am not sure? I have 5 and they seem to be perfectly fine!

What did you feed them? sometimes fish can be fussy feeders at first till they get used to the food, try giving them bloodworm.

As has been mentioned before they are a fish that likes to be in large groups. Mine always used to prefer a darker tank, I presume that if your tank is well planted you will have a lot of light which might be spooking them a bit. I would also defo try them on some live food to see if they eat.

Ok, appreciate the advcie. I have a sandy bottom (if you'll forgive the phrase). Maybe it's just too bright in there for them.

I have a brightly lit well planted tank and keep 4 clown loach that have been in there for around 5 years. I have a lot of bogwood and other hiding places and they seem fine. This might be an option if you think they don't like the light too much?

I'm going to say something to you that's been said to me by every person I've ever loved: I'm really disappointed in you, you are pathetic and weak, and I don't love you anymore. Get out!
