Default Loud air pump?

Hey

Wanted some consumer advice, our new tank came with a rather loud air pump... the huge external filter hardly hums yet the little pump purrs like mad. Can anyone recomend a quiet make / model I could look into?

thanks

Leave it off and make it so the filter gives lots of surface movement.

My fish do swim through the bubbles, whether they enjoy it...
How is it noisy? Is it the pump itself or it vibrating on a surface? Does it have rubber feet? Mines on and I can't here it from about 8 feet away.

My advice is to rip it out, stamp on it, and throw it in the bin.

Interpet Airvolution 3 Air Pump - Aquarium Products

That is a very quiet pump , it can be bought in all different sizes depending on what you want to power.

I use these on my tanks and they are quiet, athough they will get noisy as the diaphram gets old. Replacements are easy to get and fit though
