Default Guppy behaviour

I recently brought some guppies and a 260l tank, the tank is quite heavily planted and so far has 8 mature guppies and loads of fry. All the fish including the fry occasionally "bounce" off the sand, hitting the side of their bodies (quite lightly) is this normal behaviour, or are they trying to dislodge parasites? I have inspected them but cant see any visible parasites.

Thanks,
Alex.

cool, they are all vibrant in colour and very active so i thought it might just be some kind of behaviour but cant find anything about it on the net

I've had guppies for a couple of years and can't say that I've ever noticed this behaviour so I'd say it's abnormal tbh...
