Question rainbow fish

was previously thinking of discus but due to tank size of 125ltrs was advised to think again.. anybody got any experience with rainbows.. look great on the internet and on pix but the ones i saw in the local shop looked like drab grey boring.... you know what i mean.. the guy says they get better but???? £4 to £6 each! phew!

There are loads of types of rainbows. Some better than others. £4-6 is an extremely high price unless they are 3" plus in length.
Mine go for £2.25 at 1-1.5"

if you are talking about boesmani (no clue how to spell it) rainbow fish they are the same price on my local fish shop. i was wanting some as they look great! they are yellow at the back and blue at the front (or the other way round). i too thought £4-6 was alot.
