Default Banjos spawning?

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody here has heard of Banjo's spawning in aquaria?

Before I lost both my Banjos, the male, i think, was guarding a wooden cave with what looked like tiny insect larvae inside. He was very territorial. Up to this, I had performed 3 large water changes within 2 weeks. The temperature was 27 oc, pH 7.5 and no ammonia/nitrate/nitrite.

The one which i think waas the male was a 7cm SL B. coracoideus, and the female, i think, was an 8cm B. amazonicus.

None of my aquarium books mentioned it Banjos spawning.

Thanks

Harry

i've heard of them spawning before but i think it's quite tricky; but that was in an old PFK mag so things have possibly progressed since then
