Default Filter/Oxygen issues

Hi Guys,

My filter is a nightmare. Its an Atman fully submergable filter/heater and my tank is a 90L.

If I fully submerge the filter then it seems to not produce enough oxgen as my fish all swim to the top but when its semi- submerged its VERY noisey but does produce air bubbles which seems to keep the fish happy but seems to cool the tank down alot, it also causes the fish all stay on the opposite side of the tank (furthest away from the filter).

I need advice please

Its driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to adjust the filter flow?

sounds like a rubish filter. internal should be silent but you can hear the air. but that should not be to loud. the filter should be just under the water if its put to low it normally cant pull the air in there should be a tube just a bit higher than the level and it should have an ajuster on it where you can slow the air down to make it quiter.but i dont like internales with heaters they dont normally have larg enough room for a big sponge. but if its a new set up you might not have the right amount of bacteria to break the waist down and that can cause your fish to swim at top. if thats the case then its just a matter of it maturing for a bit longer.the sponge should not be washed in tapwater it kills the benifishal bacteria you can take water from tank and rinse or use declorinated water.i use tank water and top up with fresh. hope this helps Alan
