Assassin snails? I'm not sure if they die or not once they run out of food though. Otherwise go for a fish that likes snails. My Angels got a taste for them after I crushed them for them and just picked them off, I've not had any for months now.

I just crushed them on the side of the glass, the Angels soon figured out that there was tasty meat inside them moving pieces of gravel To be honest I didn't mind the snails as they pretty much left the plants alone.

try some of the loach/botia species. clown loach, skunk botias, chain loach, pakistan loach etc. They can be fin nippers though!

Default Snails

A pygmy puffer or another type of dwarf puffer will get rid of every one of them! but they also can be fin nippers. Im presuming you have a tropical set up?.

i would sugest asassain snails as the easiest way . squasing them on sight is time comsuming and a pain and lots of fish generally leave them alone.

even them puffers when i had them in a tank some years ago

My Clown Loach never fin nips and loves snails. We had 200 (not exaggerating) one night, bought Loachy and the next morning there were none. The chemical treatment didnt work for me.

assasin snails do eat other snails yes but what you find is they can breed quicker then the assasins eat them. so you need a good few to make a difference.

try the clown loach or a small puffer, also cut down your feeding. snails normally take over if your over feeding the fish as they eat the left over food.
