pffft... the 'fish care' sticky seems to mainly arguments about certain shops - this is far more useful! especially as most people new to fish keeping have probably got a goldfish or 5 sitting in the wrong kind of tank - this care sheet is what they need to see first!

My parents had 5 goldfish in a 55litre hexagon tank which I kept telling them was cruel to the fish, so in the summer just gone I built them a big pond out the garden and they are living very happily in there now. Even survived this harsh winter we've just had
brilliant stuff, its great that there are people out there like you who do care if that 'boring' little goldfish gets a decent home to live in and dont just leave them in these awful tiny tanks well done!

I wouldn't mind bringing the one inside in a tank. They've named it Wanda and it's a big white thing with a big veil tail thing. Sorry not too sure on goldfish types but she is a good one even takes food sticks from my fingers when I feed her.

would depend on her type as to what tank size she would need, and its also best to keep them with at least 1 other goldfish as they are social fish maybe put up a picture of her.

Sadly this is the only pic I have on the laptop, never took any of them in the tank as I hated it. I will get some more when spring comes and I spruce the pond up.

looking at the picture she looks to be a comet, so a minimum 5ft tank, though 6ft or more would be best if you did want her inside.

She's a beast. My mum wants the pond bigger though now because they survived the winter. It's already 5.5 x 4 ft and 2.5ft deep I'm more than happy to dig a bigger one though.

P.S. Sticky the original post mods!!!
