Default Turkistan Roaches for sale

*: Large Roaches now back in stock, updated prices for April

I am selling the Blatta Lateralis roach also known as the "turkistan roach" or the "red runner". They are very similar to crickets but don't hop or make any noise and are nutritionally better than crickets so a great alternative to buying crickets for your pets. These are more readily accepted by most animals especially mantis than the majority of other roach species and they cannot climb smooth surfaces, all round a great feeder roach.

I am offering

Small Roaches (approx 0.5 cm, slightly larger than fruit flies)

50 x small roaches £2.49
100 x small roaches £3.99

Medium Roaches (approx 1 cm, roughly size of greenbottle flies)

50 x medium roaches £3.49
100 x medium roaches £5.49

Large-Adult Roaches (approx 2 cm+)

50 x large roaches £4.99
100 x large roaches £8.49

Mix of small to Adult Roaches

50 x mixed roaches £4.49
100 x mixed roaches £6.49

Postage:

Postage is £2 for first class next day delivery or £3 recorded next day delivery no matter how many items are ordered.

UK only. Paypal accepted.

Please pm me with any orders or questions.
Thank you.

Tom

Desciption & maintenance of the roaches:

The Blatta Lateralis roach also known as the "turkistan roach" or the "red runner" gets its name cause of it's red colour and its incredible speed. This makes it so attractive to animals as a live food. This roach will scurry around till it's been eaten. Although very fast, they cannot climb smooth surfaces.
They can't climb but they will try alot harder than dubia to escape and sometimes a bit of dust of a scratch in the wrong place can lead to a very nimble male escaping. Brown packaging tape along the inside of the box would definetely make the box escape proof.

Feed them grain food like muesli, protein in the form or dried dog food and vitamins by supplementing with vegetables/fruit. Keep them at 20 degrees or more. To breed keep above 25 degrees.

They will need a water bowl at all times which they cannot drown in. Toilet paper helps prevent this. Cardboard egg boxes for hiding places is the easiest option for these, they do not require any soil if you do not wish to provide any.

They are by far one of the easiest species to look after and one of the fastest growing feeder roach too. They take half as long to mature as dubia do although they only grow to half the size also.

Hi pepper pot. You will be able to use the 300 adult colony straight away. Most of them are mature enough to breed and you don't need many females to produce alot of babies in this species so plenty to feed off.
