seen this on one or 2 other reptile forums where people need imidiate advice , they can post here to get it.

anyone else think its a good idea?

i think with the amount of members we have here its usually never more than 5 mins before any post is answered, not sure if t would be worth it

The problem also is too many people are very quick in posting not thinking and have on countless times posted advice, all be it with good intentions that could be fatal to the animal, and in most cases if it really was urgent you'd already be on the phone to a vet not writing on a forum, well i would anyway...

the boys right , and most vets dont really give out of hours advice apart from "make an appointment asap"

can see where your comming from about bad advice , bust most members on here who are quick to answer are quite knowlegable IMHO

Most vets would give advice over the phone, and all would come out for a charge, at anytime. Thing is, I dont know legalities on this, but I think you'd have to be careful. If someone offered some advice, which turned out to be wrong, you could have a lot of cross people on your hands.

More than that, the argument about splitting sections reducing traffic is also correct. If you have another section, the traffic in there will be reduced. You're more likely to get a response ASAP if you just put it in the, say, snake section, than another sub-section. Specially on 'ere.
