can the minimum letter for searching for threads be changed
such as DAY gecko BCI, thing like that, i want to seach day geckos, but as it has to be more than 3 letters, i cant? can this be done at all?

instead of just putting Day gecko put 'day gecko that should work. Don't forget to put a wee ' at the beginning or it wont work.
Just tried it and it works
