Ok so people keep saying that we can’t have sub sections for areas because it will be too many subsections, plus if you are willing to travel you will have to look through all sections.

HOW ABOUT:

When you go into classifieds, then for example Amphibian classifieds, you then have 4 columns, 'Thread', 'Last Post', 'Replies' and 'Views'. Could we have a 5th column that says 'Location'??

When you input a new post, there will be a box that you write your location in, similar to 'title'. Then this field is shown on the main page with all the posts. Simple way to scroll through them all and ignore the places you don’t want.

Sounds simple to me, any views??

Not really, as i live in North Shields, But also live in the locality of Newcastle,But put things non-alive into North East.

People also like to search nationwide as they will travel

Thats the point, your not searching at all, its showing you all posts, but showing you the location without having to click into it and read. You can write whatever you want in the location field, but it makes it easier for people to browse

The layout of the forum is down to the design by V Bulletin, it's not something that can be changed by the forum admin. There are other ways that are being looked into.

there is a secret function hidden within the forums..

it's called the search button... do a search in the classifieds > section for your location.

This only works for people who follow the rules of classifieds though
