Default Feedback for Re-homing forum?

I have sent T-Bo a request for feedback to be enabled for the re-homing/rescue forum.
What do you think?

im in two minds on that one... yes good idea to get feedback for anyone but might have knock on effect, like if someone was rehoming an animal because they werent looking after it etc what could the person collecting write? like i am trying to find homes for two pole cats (not even sure they are that!lol) as been offered them by a mum at my girls school who doesnt want them and from sound of it doesnt care for them right. im gonna collect them from her and put details on forum now to find them a good home but im not sure what state they will be in so say if they are in a bad way would someone leave me feedback saying they were 'blah blah blah' and make me look bad when i am trying to just help the animals. an i have just acquired two rats- good health etc but in an unsuitable cage so am trying to find them homes too- can you imagine that feedback '''...living in a shoe box' blah blah blah (example they are not really just a crappy tiny hanster cage) i would be concerned it may put people off and alot of animals get a second chance at love on the rehoming section.

The feedback would be for the person 'selling' the animal.

Just the same as classifieds, it's just the same thing but different reason for selling/donation/fee.

I am guessing it is perhaps to prevent you going to collect to find their not in and the like? Their general communication throughout?

As its rehoming, you cant really comment on the state or previous care of the pet, as thats the reason they are being rehomed...no?

you wouldn't really be able to comment on the animal itself because, as already mentioned, it could be re-homed for any reason and might not be in the best of health to start with.
It would help with the credibility of the people involved; ie were they polite and on time etc or were people messed about.

It can also help with people trying to sell rescues. Something could come up for rescue, it's claimed by a PM so no mention of it appears on the thread and then a week later the re-homer is trying to sell it.
Feedback, if left, would show they'd only just rehomed it.

I happen to agree with Ferret a lot of people come on are on here looking for rehomes and I do know of a few cases were these animals were sold on for profit a month or two later.

There should be a 2 way feedback system in place as if you were to buy off here, I'm guessing, but surely most people check thru the sellers post and I Trader to see if they have recently acquired the animal or that they have posted up problems related to it. I know I go thru and check.

So as at the moment there is no feedback for rehomes people can say what they like and there is no way of disproving it, I'm not saying all do but the ones that know how to play this game do.

My example would be as in a recent dealing of mine.

I put some Gals up for re-homing and had a wonderful young lady enquire.
She was very pleasant, showed me her set up for them and has followed up with pictures and told me how they are getting on.
This girl deserves suitable feedback so that others can see in future she can be trusted and relied on.
At the moment I can't do that.
If I was selling them for 1p on classifieds I could leave feedback, I can't see any difference on the forums apart from the forum heading.

I'm still waiting for T-Bo to get back so hopefully I'll know what's happening soon.

Na, I wouldn't do a poll, it would look like the tail trying to wag the dog.

It's up to T-Bo not use.
