Name Change Requests

I get a number of username change requests, however updating a username puts a lot of strain on the server and database especially for members with a large number of posts. Because of this I dont particularly like doing it and when/if I do it has to be during the day or at a quieter time to prevent any knock on effects.

Please be aware that I always give priority to members who have a username that isnt redirecting to their profile or causing some other problem over members who just fancy a change because they dont like their old username any more.

If you would like your username changed you will have to report this post, you will have to confirm your reason for the requested change. Please also be aware that I will be in no rush to update your username unless it is causing a problem, however I will look to deal with all reasonable requests over time.
