Default classifieds

would it be possible to select adverts options-for example, select nearest distance? Or have some way of indicating what area you are in the title?

i was thinking this too, just makes it easier especially for people who cant travel to collect they can see if the seller is local before trawling through all the ads

yep, but i bet loads of peeps wouldn't. What about having some kind of box to tick to indicate where you are ie.South West, North East etc...and then somehow this would then be automatically included in the title such as SW or NE.

You mean like the *location* field on your profile? If people just filled it in then everyone could see where they were at a glance.

I think part of the registration should force new users to put info into the location field, as Tops pointed out, we do have the function there!

It would be quite invasive, especially of people who do not wish to trade at all on here.

I personally wouldnt want to have to put my info on there, as you will notice

If i was going to sell something, i would put all the neccessary info in the thread.

We do have 'guildlines' that people are asked to follow, but they cant make everyone follow them. Reptile Forums UK - Announcements in Forum : Reptile Classifieds - Exotics for Sale and Wanted

Although, knowing t-bo and his 'skills', it wouldnt surprise me if he came up with something for it at some point.
