Default Had enough of the classifieds...grr

Can't it be made like Gumtree or something where you can see the item location in the thread name or next to it? There has to be some way of getting people to state their location at some point in the process..

..or maybe its one of those things where you urge all members to put their location in the post title?

To be honest, I dont think its fair to force everyone to put their locations etc.

Yes, make it essential to at least put your county on your location but i for one am not too keen on giving out any personal information.

If someone really wants something they will inquire, otherwise theyre not really bothered in the first place.

I can understand the desire not to put out to much info, but I dont think its to much to ask people to ensure thier location is filled in to , say city or town level.

At least others can then make a rough guess at where the item is, such as Southampton, London, Brighton etc.

Well like has been said, why don't we make it mandatory that we fill in your city or county at least.

To be honest, if you read the classified rules it states your supposed to state your location and the price, hardly any one does so kick 'em all off!

Default Locations

I dont place in the locations, as we broker for clients nationwide, the website reveals all the location details, we just handle the sales of for said clients.

We are based in Lincolnshire and apart from a porcupine and a pair of meerkats, everything else is scattered throughout the UK or in some cases Europe.

When TSKA clients use us, they use us so that we spec out potential buyers in the first place. And as such, we do not secure the details to said buyers until we know that they are def genuinely interested parties. The whole purpose of this is confidentiality and to prevent time wasters taking up client time.

i agree with jurrasic though...a town and city at least would be helpful...

If you see a albino royal female for £500 but 300miles away would you get it? i think so I dont think location matters much aslong as you can find what you want...But i suppose people who will take anything that is in there location may want location in titles. But for those who just want a certain specieas it dont matter as much.
