Is there anything stopping newbies doing it?
I know when I first joined that I looked at the amount of posts the person had/the amount of stars as to whether I thought they were knowledgeable.
If a newbie did this, and went and replied to another newbie but gave the wrong advice the other person may take the advice going on the amount of stars, plus the fact they are gold makes them seem, umm, 'special' if that makes sense?
Its caught my eye on a few threads already that there are 5 gold stars and Im sure if a newbie saw it they would think well they obviously know what they are talking about.

I think there should be some sort of posting limit or a minimum amount of time on the forum?

I dont think someones post count really gives a true indication of their knowledge. There are many people out there who have been keeping breeding reps for years, but are not members here. If they joined, there post count wouldnt reflect that. There are also many members on here with huge post counts that probably couldnt tell you one royal morph from another etc. There are also many people who could have 20,000 posts and still give out the wrong advise day in and day out, its part of how the forum is.

If i was a newbie, i wouldnt sign up for this anyway, i would wait and see how i liked the site first before i parted with cash. Although, there will always be the odd spendaholic out there.

When we get paid for our services, then you can demand a certain standard!

I will not reply to pathetic whining blah blah blah private messages. I suggest you call the Samaritans instead.

I agree. But I can think of a handful of names that stick out to me as the sort of people to run out buying anything and everything and think they know it all. Who would pay for it.
I just think the gold stars give people a higher status when they dont deserve it. As if it makes them seem knowledgeable when they arent.

We could all change our forum user message to Moderator. That'll confuse people
