I wouldn't touch a slug or snail. Yuk. I have to look at them all the time but I hate having to touch them. I would have kept it in a box (without touching it) and did some research, contacted some people and found it exactly what it is. Could have been a rare £700 mega slug from Yemen or something (yes, I made that up).

But the bin is a good option too, just incase. But you never know, it may have an elaborate trap waiting for you next time you empty the garbage...
