if you click on private messages (top right just under your user name) then on the left of your screen click on edit signature, to get a photo up use Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket resize the photo so you are happy with the signature size and off you go

you just sign upto photobucket and copy and paste the code of your picture.
