Got divorced and was at a low ebb (Dunno why, was the best thing i ever did), was visiting a friend in Rainham and saw a place called Cold Blooded. i asked if i could hold a baby corn snake, fell in love with it and it came home. I then bought a Honduran Tangerine Milksnake (Without black tipping), a sub adult Bull snake that grew to almost 7 feet, Brazilian Rainbow (vicious little bugger) and a couple of others. BUT, as Tinkrebels sig foto describes, i met a girl who said "If we're moving in together, the snakes have got to go". And they did just that. Missed them ever since. Still see my first corn snake occasionally! Eight yrs old and beautiful!

Now waiting for my Royal Python to be ready

Parents drew the line at hamsters despite my dogged insistance that a Siberian Tiger would be a great pet so I had to wait until adulthood. I was running a pub at the time and had a few quid spare so I ended up with a bedroom / tropical room full of snakes and lizards. I did the thing where I was young with the Polaroid of a well-fed sleepy Burm wrapped round my neck.

It started for me when i was about 6. I can remember my dad taking me to his mates house to check up on his collection while he was away for the week. I can remember this massive snake that just lived in the guys living room, god only knows what it was (my memory isn't that good). I sort of proded it and then tried to pick it up. Sure the thing looked at me and thought "lunch". After that i pleaded and begged to get my own but my mum wouldn't let me. Now i have moved out i can have whatever i like! yay!

I was always fascinated by all wildlife, and was always out catching creepy crawlies and any beasties I could get my paws on, then I got to hold a corn snake when I was about 7 or 8 I guess and I thought it was amazing.
My parents got me my first snake for my 12th birthday, a plains garter snake called Smaug. I got my second one the next day, a chequered garter called Falcor. Then for christmas that year I got my first 2 lizards and first T.
I kept quite a lot of reps and T's in my teens, then due to a number of things I was sort of away from the hobby for quite a few years and all I had left was my BCI and 2 t's. I'm getting back into it now, and have recently added 2 T slings, 3 scorplings and some stickies to my limited collection
