Question Native UK Reptiles and Amphibians

Any one else interested in our native reptiles and amphibians?

I'm planning on turning my garden in to habitat for frogs, toad, newts, snakes ...and anything else British ...anyone got anything interesting living in their gardens?

that sounds like a great plan, just remember that with frogs in your garden you will also have plenty of birds.

i would love to encourage more of our native wildlife into my garden but unfortunately i love it too much to do that.

...wish I owned a quarry - looks like a good find ...going to speak to an ecologist I know about the setting up the correct habitat to home as many types of UK amphibians and reptiles as possible.

Still facinated by them now; hope my little boy gets in to them (he's mad on UK spiders at the mo). Bought him the "Book of British Countryside AA" this weekend from the car boot! 50p!

Aye, I built myself a wildlife pond a few years ago, is so lovely to have a bit of nature on your doorstep!

I also wrote my dissertation on British amphibians (both native and non-native) which was incredibly interesting to research!

Have you seen the FSC field guides? He may like some of them as they do one on british spiders and they are only £2.75 each
