Not sure if he still does but a teacher at the school I used to teach at Kept 3 corn snakes and some leos in the class room. It teaches children not to be afraid of these animals.

hi this is a link to the page with the artical on.

http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/general-herp-chat/165277-reptiles-classroom-tes-article-published.html

i was a student at the school that this teacher works in and had the job of caring for the animals. They are realy good to have in the school enviroment. I had the responsiblity of looking after the reptiles on my own as the other teachers didnt like them with some held from friends while the teacher was off ill for a few months. I would advise that you try and get more teachers than just one to take ther idea on so if the teacher was to go off ill etc you would have the support from others.
The teacher now (since i have left the school) has aprox 5 students helping with the care of the animals (which is much better than while i was caring for them)

Try to do small fundrazing ideas to raise money for the reps as the school might not be able to aford large vet bills, food weekly etc.

If your planing to try and get some reps in your school good luck but i would advise you not to try and get any large snakes as they can be more dangerous.

Good luck and let me know how you get on with it.

At the school i went to we had some tokays in my tutor room in the science dept, which i now have

One of the science technicians got them to replace the Cuban Knight Anole that died aged 7 yrs old, then he ended up leaving and my tutor didnt know much about em, so i helped feed, water & clean em.
So when i left, they came with me!

but the school i went to, some kids were interested & some were literally trying to kill em (its just those stupid few that have to spoil it)
