Default Viv cleaning - Milton problems anyone?

I've been using diluted Milton cleaning fluid on my vivs for years - snakes, beardies, Geckos, T's and never had any problems.

I bought a baby royal last week which looks like it has blister disease but I've been told the Milton may have given him chemical burns.

I noticed what looked like a little flake of skin on him when I got him home but thought this may have been some thing to do with a shed. In the past few days it's worsened and now he has blisters on his sides and face.

The guy I bought it off suspects that it's been the Milton I've used and it's a chemical burn. I always disinfect with Milton then thoroughly dry the tank and never put anything back into it's tank until it's 100% dry and there's not even the faintest smell of it. I cleaned the tank as soon as I got him home.

Anyone else had any problems with Milton or any similar fluids over the years? Just want to know what I should be avoiding in future?

Little fella is off to the vets tomorrow. Unfortunately there isn't a herp specialist so I'm hoping they can help sort him out.
I've reduced humidity and increased temps for him in the hope that'll help him in the mean time.

Default Rinsing

Ooops - I forgot to add in my original post that I thoroughly rinse before drying too.

Never had any problems with Milton. So long as its diluted properly and then washed over with clean water then there shouldn't be a problem.

Stay away from bleach and solutions with ammonia in. I have compiled a list of safe disinfectants to use (institutional preferences and hobbyist preferences) and would be happy to send it to you.
