Default How many extensions do you use?

Just wondering what the most extensions in one house would be before you blow something?
Hubby keeps saying we will blow a socket or a fuse.

As long as you got good extensions you can run loads as its to do with the amp's that your items use. If you pull loads of amps from one plug it will trip the system. We have 5 on the go

providing they are plugged into seperate sockets and dont exceed the rating then there is no limit.
I have about 16 4 ways in 1 of my reptile rooms but each one is plugged into a seperate wall socket.

whole reptile room is off one socket I think...I should probably work out how many amps that is...clearly less than 13 anyway... It's under 1000watts at peak anyway, which is about the same as a good spec computer + monitor. I think the biggest chain in the house is in there with about 4(one extension off another, off another, off another). The more extensions surely it just means more fuses in between the electrical items and the mains? The time to worry is when there's too much current.

If plugs and extensions are fused correctly then there is nothing to worry about.

We have 5 extensions at present.

I have two extenstion leads but only because one of my vivs is too far away from the socket, other wise it would be a double plug for that one.

The second extention leads has 5 plugs off it. Two double stats, one light box terminal, one UV and a heatmat.
