Work Experience.

Ino some schools/colleges including mine has "work experience" when your in year 10, just wondering to those who own shops etc do you let people work and join with you through work experience, just curious to see how many actually do this. personally i think its a realy good opertunity for peeps, i think i might start looking around locally for a reptile shop that takes on work experience's.

i dont own a shop but i done work experince in a pet shop and i enjoyed every bit, i know i was one of the team i have to use the till clean animals and do what they do stock check and everything and u do get people coming up to you asking for adivce i got that alot but i didnt have a problem, i think alot are doing it now.

i also forgot to ad i done a week in a college with animals that wasnt soo fun you have student bossing you about i was only in yrs 9 never done anything like that before i loved the animals but they didnt let me do much coz the age i was, i wasnt aloud in the reptile room but i was 17 went i done the shop.

Im in yr9 now, and would love to do work experience in a Rep shop, but i dont think they do becuase of legal issues

A lot of shops do. Some schools can have different requirements to others though. We had a lad apply for work experience and he brought me a form to fill in for him, which I did - but the school said we did not meet the requirements to be able to take work experience from them, but provided me with no information as to exactly in what area we were lacking!

I got work Experience in June, I'm probably doing it in Jurassic Reps, as ryan said i could depending on dates
But if not i need to find another shop near Bristol
but fingers crossed ill be in Ryans shop

Yeh thanks for responses, just was curious, i live behind a pet shop but wasnt too sure wether to even attempt to try and get work experience there in a years time.

when i did work exeperiece a few eyars back, we could work anywhere.. now my brother is in the process of finding somwhere.. they arent alowwed to work with animals anymore.. maybe thats why?...or anything to do with construction etc... ''unsafe'' apparently...
