just to add i dont know how the mealworms could have escaped as they are in live food tubs then in a all faunarium to stop it from happening!
also ive got no gaps in any of the vivs so they cant have got out that way.

Mealworm beetles don't get nearly that big so they can't have come from your mealworms, sounds like he's just making it up.
Does he have a problem with you normally?

Edit: unless you use giant mealworms?

bet they were something native like a devil's coach-horse beetle and he's just throwing a hissy fit.

I think super mealie beatles are a little over an inch. But a little over an inch and nearly 2 inches are not the same!

If you don't normally end up with beetles then I think its HIGHLY unlikely that several of the few you normally end up with managed to all find their way into his house... And manage to quadruple in size on their way over there!

It's the time of year when lots of animals find shelter and for many of them our houses are ideal for overwintering - so I'd be inclined to say they are native. Post a pic and see if someone can identify them. As for environmental health, if they even bother to come round, as long as everything is clean, tidy and secure then you have nothing to worry about.
