Friends of mine went there, and the choice of species was much more reduced than in Hamm. Most unusual animals were WC and many in a poor condition. It depends on what you look for,if you are looking for royal morphs then it was fine to go there, but for other species the choice was poor and prices generally higher than in German shows. All 4 friends who returned on Sunday evening told me it was really not worth the trip.

i go quite often and this show was inded the least spectacular i have seen . mainly cos it was for animals ingeneral and there were loads of rodents . Always nice to see other stuff like the birds of prey and different rodent species . Got some fresh stock of multimamoth mice for 1 euro each . There were still a few high end pythons and the norm that you can expect from the big establishments . It is defo better to go on snake day in october or reptile day in june . I will be there again for both .
as for why , the pound is strong enough to be able to buy many things cheaper , its convenient to meet euro breeders there as opposed to driving to swededn or germany etc . Also you get to meet up with mates from these places that you aint seen in a while . You get fresh blood as far as stock goes and the variety is far greater than in the uk . Its also nice just to nosey at the different things available and the road trip is in a way entertaining aswell . (i hate boats and the ferry freaks me out every time ) |
