Post Would you ever...?

If feeding of live mammals to animals was legal in any form, would you ever do it?

I am going to say I wouldn't ever live feed my pets unless totally necessary, as it risks the animals health with forms of injury and I would feel really horrible to the prey victim.

Please don't flame eachother on this thread, just give a reason and why.

I would not, because I cannot stand to see an animal in fear and suffering and know there is something I could do about it or even worse, it is my fault.

To know that I had put a prey item in that situation where it was afraid, in pain, and then died - because of my choice, not even out of necessity, but just because I wanted it to feel fear, pain, and die - for my pleasure.. well.. I'm just not that kind of person.

I can do it, if it is life or death for the snake, and I can try and be impartial, and think - well it's natural - the snake is going to die otherwise - i did everything i possibly could...

But to do it for the hell of it, for pleasure, or just for fun or to see what will happen.. there is no way I could ever do that.

I don't know if i would. It's natural for them to go after live animals so i can't see why not. But i don't like it when people keep these 20 foot snakes and feed them pigs, goats

Nah dont think i would do it like everyone said it happens in the wild but our pets are not in the wild so nope, but if it was the only way to keep my pets alive then i would have to get someone else to do it, i would have nightmares for the rest of my life if i had to do it. I've only just got used to them eating dead food. lol

why is a pigs life any different to a rats or a mouses? they are only bigger, same thing. there is nothing natural about throwing a live rat in a viv with a predator, the snake didnt find the prey and the prey has no escape, which also means that it is more likely to attack the predator (our snakes in this case) i dont think there is any reason to ever feed live prey to a snake that will happily exept FT?

Thats what I have trouble understanding, and is an animals life different to a humans? Thats why we need to give our pets all we can. Some people like chavs I undoubtedly presume live feed their snake, post the video on YouTube and think they're heroes.
