sorry, only timbers and N. copperheads here...

this is basically west viginia.... same everything as W. virginia...

and i won't dissapear for months this time...

the first week in may i'm gone for a week or 10 days then back to regroup and re-supply... it's my tune-up trip... i'm so fat and outta shape that i need a little "boot-camp" trip...

... then i'll be out for a week or two at a time with a few days break in between... i want to do a photographic survey of the forest as best i can... a virtual tour...

... i am figuring out how to post videos... that would be cool.

... i still need some small gear and food of course before next month... a new rod and reel is the last big ticket item left...

So jealous...

My version would be: i could try to catch a common toad.

Never even seen a slow worm down in Warwickshire, how bad is that ?

i've never seen a slow worm... that would make my day!

i might see an american toad... it's early and tomorrow we have frost warnings.... it'll warm nicely though... clear and sunny with 75f for the high... stuff will be sluggish mostly and wanting to sun themselves...

... we'll see! the ground is still cold.

Yeah but here, Slow worm is like the most interesting. They are pretty cool but Warwickshire only has 4 native reptiles, ain't seen any.

we just have the red-spotted newts here... quite a few slamander species... cave salamanders are at the top of my list.
