Default Last appeal to rep owners in the North East

This is my last attempt to get any of you reptile enthusiasts in the north east to come to a Reptile Day which I have organised at The Sanctuary Wildlife Care Centre where I work.

The details of where, when and why are here http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/gener...tyne-wear.html

I have to say (and others have also commented on the thread) that I was disappointed with the response, getting only 2 volunteers and they're both in County Durham which is further away!

However, we are going ahead with this on May Day Monday (4th May) and so I'm appealing one last time to ask if there is anyone else in the north east who is prepared to come along and bring any of their reps to show off to our visitors.

I personally think that reps are a much maligned group of animals and it's mostly through ignorance and bad reputation than fact. This is a chance to educate people about reps and I want to go for it!

Yesterday I spent nearly 5 hours in Amble with my 2 corns talking to people about them at a St George's day event and the interest (as it always is) was exceptional.

So can I appeal to anyone's better nature and ask if they're prepared to come along???

Thanks girls! I absolutely appreciate your willingness to even think about it, but it certainly is too far away for you both!

Well that's why I was surprised to get so few takers for this, cos I love going out and showing off my snakes and I've only got 2!

I thoroughly enjoyed my day out on Saturday and the time just whizzed by cos I was constantly surrounded by people admiring them and wanting to know about them. And I sent home at least 2 people who were so scared at first they wouldn't come near, but who eventually got over their fear and realised that it was totally unfounded - that was worth it all!!
