yeah the IHS had to do that before Good Friday but now non-members are allowed in. I understand that many reptiles get abandoned and I share the same concern but what about the majority of us that actually care and take reptiles seriously? It's so unfair.

It's like how can it be hard to keep a bearded dragon or a snake. All you need is all the right equipment and food and space. They think we are all r****ds and don't know what we are doing. I bet they don't even know what a python is

i know they make out that we're incapable and that we don't care about our pets...I don't know about everything else but my leos are like part of the family.

N yeah SiUK i'll be straight out of the country too if they decide to ban reptiles altogether. I wonder what the stance is at the moment...I'd love to meet these people...really

Unfortunately its the odd few stupid t*~ts that ruin it for all reptile owners and then we all get tarnished by the same brush. People that release snakes are the ones who buy on impulse to show off, look cool and be the same that buy vicious dogs. Probably chavs. There's always been chavs in the UK but the term and meaning changes from generation to the next.

It would upset me if they banned us keeping reptiles but the argument is that they arent domesticated, never will be and thus would be better off in the wild.

With the poor advice and bad reptile pet shops that are all over the country and poor information on the internet riddled with mistakes, reptiles are often wrongly taken care of and probably naturally would be better off in the wild.

captive bred reptiles and breeders...i think we've done well to bring out the best in different species...it'd be such a shame for groups to take that away from us. n yeah, chavs + the such..im glad not all of them have caught on yet.

i tried searching for news of the animal rights people and the whole situation but hardly found anything...except the government labelling some as 'RSPCA extremists' << made me giggle!!
