As some of you may know, a good friend of mine is setting up a shop, and we have been working like dogs recently to sort the place out!

We know of the "big 2" suppliers, those being Peregrine and Monkfield, but we have heard there are a number of smaller suppliers who can offer more competitive prices.

So I am asking that anyone who knows of such a company please post their details, or PM me of you prefer.

Also, anyone wishing to sell second hand equipment, or livestock, please feel free to PM me, or E-mail at Dan_ScalesandFangs@blueyonder.co.uk remember we buy with the intention of re-selling, so only offer trade prices.

We are located on Leigh-on-sea Essex, and hop to open before mid-May.

Is Peregrine and Monkfield the only trade suppler's you know of for everything i.e dry goods, livestock, live and frozen foods?

we know of those two, as the main two, but have local breeders/hobbiests suppling the "bulk" of our livestock. we also know of sevral suppliers of dry goods, and a few PM's have been very helpful, with regards to other suppliers.

Do you know of any?

I would say both Rep Tech and Euro Rep are bigger suppliers than those 2.

Also look for the Batleys Cash and Carry chain of pet food wholesalers.. have to go in person to the warehouses but my local one carries a very large chain of exo terra and zoo med products that make the standard wholesalers look expensive.

We have spoken to Euro rep, and have a catalogue in the post, also spoken to Underword, Perigrine, Monkfield nutrition, and another one i cannot remember atm.

do you have any contact info for Rep Tech, i cannot find anything on them.

i just looked up Batleys and they are very far away, it would be about £100 in fuel etc, but thanks for those anyway, if we are in the areas of the shops, we will deffinatly pop in!
