Default Boa and billericy rep shop

Me and my partner went into this billericy shop in west horndon and had a look around. A few of the snakes looked a bit skinny......
We waslked around to have a look at othe reptiles.
A few times we walked past a man that seemed to work there. I cant really remember what he was saying to a young couple but they seemed to be getting quite annouyed with him about what he was saying about what ever they had askes him about.
When he asked us if we needed any help we aked him what could we keep in a 4 ft viv. He sugested corn snakes, Beardies, and other baby snakes etc.
I asked him if they had any common boas in there as im very interested in getting one. He pulled one out of a really small tank........ that didnt really look like the best type of condition for such a big snake (it wasnt exactle small it look a good few ft)
The man had blood on his hands from were other snakes had bitten him and started telling me and my partner about this snake....
I asked if I can hold it and he said no as the shop didnt have any `insurance.
Then after we asked him what size talk it should be in he said a 6 ft viv.....
After we had finished talking to him he then walked around the shop with this boa around his neck letting little kids touch it and hold it etc.

Just out of curiosity what size tank would be best 4 a big but not fully grown adult common boa and what size should it be in when fully grown.

Cheers
Herne

Hi there, he sounds a bit dodgy, dont buy any thing just because you feel sorry for it, keep lookin in other shops and when you find one you like and with helpful people yu will be well on your way. common boas gey very big very fast, there are so mny out there that out grow thier owners and get abandoned or worse so be absolutely sure before you buy, there is loads of info on the web abot these snakes. a 4 - 5ft snake will be happy in a viv about 4ft until he's bigger. they like to feel snug in thier homes and dont need as much space as a lizard i see your in essex, i know some one who has a boa that is abot to have babies and she can give u loads of advice. if ur intereted PM me

I was asked to leave! Many slated the place when it was reptile masters whos main intrest was importing and trade sales. The new people who are retail aimed have taken it much lower in terms of knoledge, quialty and set up them rm ever went.

Good riddance I say! Lets just hope the animals found loving homes and are now being cared for properly.
