Our afternoon with Austin Stevens
Pete was asked if he could take a couple of snakes down for the Festival of Nature in Bristol today, for Austin Stevens to introduce to the public and we ended up spending a lovely afternoon with him and his publisher.
What a lovely down to earth man he is, an absolute pleasure to chat to. He was fantastic with the kids going out of his way to make sure every child had the opportunity to touch a snake. He took time out to chat to every single person who came to see him and make time for them , as well as posing for photographs and giving autographs. I don't think I've met a nicer cellebrity ( not that I've met lots, lol). He even looked after Beth for us when she said she wanted to stay with him rather than wander around the festival with us. Here's a few photos we took, but I'm quite sure we will have more tomorrow  ( you know what I'm like with my camera).

His book is called The Last Snake Man, I think its about £20 from book shops and some reptile shops. I havent read it myself yet but Pete found it a good read.
