Default Am i being dumb or does alot of people not know.....

Did anyone know that grapes are seriously poisonous to dogs?? Am i really slow or is that not well known information.
A while back my puppy was sick for a day and i got really worried and after being to the vets and them confirmin it was something she ate and after her being sick a few more times i thought it must of been feeding her it. As i do animal care course i asked what makes dogs sicks and they said chocolate and GRAPES i was shocked :O.

I'm pretty sure I've given a dog a grape or two before, never heard of it.
Maybe it's only with puppy's?

Grapes have also been implicated in the deaths of parrots and skunks as well.

grapes are toxic to a lot of animals -esp small mammals -I would guess dogs need to have a few to ingest to a level whereby it would be fatal? but yup definately somethig to avoid

I was told not to give my dog raisins as it can cause a lot of problems, but I can't always beat the dog to what the kids chuck on the floor.
Shes like a hoover!
