well our black wheely bin is for normal rubbish, and the blue one is for plastic, cardboard, junkmail.
But they alternate weeks so each one only gets emptied once every 2 weeks and well...even though we recycle all that can be we still always have too much rubbish..which is why i would prefer them to just empty my normal rubbish more often...obviously lol.
ours wouldnt take glass either, that would go in the normal rubbish bin

Well I just paid up to get a green garden waste bin as my composter is now full lol, thought it was just aswell for the rodent bedding rather than doing tip runs all the time - didn't think I would fill that up so quickly either

What annoys me is that you can't put bedding from meat eating animals in, but if you take it to the tip, and tell them exactly what it is - they just chuck it in with the garden waste anyway!!! Ah well.

Hubby climbs into our black bin to squash it down a bit more too - amazing how much more you can fit in lol....like squashing grapes!!

EDIT - oh one more thing, if you are buying things in supermarkets - you can remove excess packaging and leave it there....this way the store has to pay for it to be taken away and hopefully then they get on to the manufacturer that hopefully will use less packaging - well that's the idea anyway!!

Also, you have the same name as my female Hogg Island Boa Constrictor!

The pet shop across road from me do a deal where they knock 10p off the cricket price for ever box you return so they can reuse them. Try mentioning it to your local pet shop see if they will go for it

I was thinking about this whole recycling thingy the other day - what I wonder is - if you have a bunch of kitchen towel wrapping up lizard or snake poop - where does it go???
