Default Bringing back exotics from abroad?!

Hi guys, I was just wondering where could I find out info about bringing back exotic pets from abroad?

At the moment I am considering EU countries- Germany and Cyprus.

Looking at reptiles at the moment, I know other exotics possibly!

I tried looking on DEFRA who state you need pet passports for dogs, cats and ferrets, but what about anything else?
- If it's an EU country can I just box up the reptiles and get them sent in declared baggage etc?

Basically, any and all info from the very basics would be great, I have emailed DEFRA but they take months to reply to anything!

Thanks guys!

are you think of just going over to a different country and catching native reptile and boxing them up and bringing them back???? if so i dont think there is any chance of that happening, or are you buying them from a breeder and bringing CB reptiles back...

lol! I will be buying them from pet stores as they have better range and prices!

I have done the catching wild animals and brought them back, but they were insects (from malaysia) and the law was different back then!

If your driving its very easy, box them up and drive them back easily. However, if your planning in flying back don't bother as you have to pay all sorts of fees and its not worth the hassel or the expensive

Yeah, I looked at flying to some of the euro shows but it isn't worth the hassle. Driving is no problem as long as they aren't cites or Dwa as you need permission to cross borders. Would advise getting invoices stating the animals latin name and origin incase customs stop you but it is completely legal
