Default Herp Job application! Help pleeeease!!!

So, I've just found an ad for the job of my dreams as a trainee herp keeper, and I need a really strong cover letter. I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone on here has to offer! I'm currently doing a Life Sciences degree from home with Open Uni so I'm hoping this will help me on my way, just wondering if anyone has any advice? Thanks for reading!

The key for both CV's and covering letters is to highlight the skills they are looking for. Use the same terminology they use.

Its hard to give more advise than that without knowing what skills they want, and what skills you have.

Oh, and get at least 2 people to proof read both for you before you send it. Spelling mistakes are a big turn off.

Agree with above.

Try to come across as a hard working yet easy person to work with highlighting your key areas. Keeping spelling errors out of the frame will also higher your chances of a phone call back.

Best of luck

Thanks for the advice, sent my application off yesterday and the job advert has been removed from the website today, lucky I saw it! Fingers crossed I get an interview, this is my dream job.

It's working as a trainee keeper in the reptile house at London Zoo, no experience needed just knowledge of reptile husbandry.

I was lucky enough to be on their website in the short time that they had the vacancy posted on there, most of their jobs are all highly qualified things.
