Help with Honours Project!

Hey!! Please could you take the time to answer these questions for me, I'm doing my honours project for my BSc in Applied Zoology on the reptile pet trade and I am collecting data on people's views on pet shops especially, if you want to private message me (if you want to be brutally honest and don't want anyone else to see) that's fine but if you could post on here so I can just copy and paste it all and analyse it all.

If you could just copy the questions into a new post and answer them however you want.

1.How many animals have you purchased from a pet shop?
2.Have you purchased from the same pet shop?
3.Do you have a ‘local’ pet shop that you use frequently/regularly?
4.Do you spend time talking to the staff there?
5.Have you brought an animal from a novice source (commercial breeder/first time breeder/importer)
6.If so did you talk to the seller before hand?
7.Did the seller talk to you or quiz you before the transaction happened?
8.Did the seller tell you the feeding history (snakes especially) or give you any records?
9.Do you feel your local pet shop is reasonably priced?
10.Do you feel your local pet shop is motivated by sales or by animal care/husbandry?

7.Did the seller talk to you or quiz you before the transaction happened? I think I quizzed him!

9.Do you feel your local pet shop is reasonably priced? depends what you mean - they are more expensive than buying from a breeder, but on a par if you're looking purely at other pet shops.
10.Do you feel your local pet shop is motivated by sales or by animal care/husbandry? Both.

2.Have you purchased from the same pet shop? no i tend to use breeders or rescue shelters
3.Do you have a ‘local’ pet shop that you use frequently/regularly? i use japanese koi company and chiltern aquatics for certain supplies like food just because it is near me but also use online supply stores
4.Do you spend time talking to the staff there? i like visiting independant stores as the staff are friendlier and happy to chat

6.If so did you talk to the seller before hand? i spoke on the phone and email and then spent some time at the house discussing needs etc as it was my first lizard
7.Did the seller talk to you or quiz you before the transaction happened? they spent alot of time talking with me and checking i understood stuff etc and also gave me a very detailed care sheet and a sheet with recordings of feed dates and sheds so i could get into a routine etc

9.Do you feel your local pet shop is reasonably priced?no it is over proced on most things but is local and handy and interesting to spend time in
10.Do you feel your local pet shop is motivated by sales or by animal care/husbandry? i would like to think certain workers are motivated by the husbandry but the business is run like any other business i suppose!

9.Do you feel your local pet shop is reasonably priced? Livestock is quite expensive but the dry goods aren't too bad.

One ... bought to rescue a wildcaught snake from a bigoted pet shop owner.

I have purchased goods from three petshops in my local area.

Yes.

Definately.

I have bought several snakes from fellow hobbyists.

Always.

No need all of the buyers I've bought from know me well enough from forum interaction.

None other than verbal confirmation. I trust the people I choose to buy from.

Yes.

10.Do you feel your local pet shop is motivated by sales or by animal care/husbandry?
My local pet shop is definately dedicated to animal care/husbandry/education. Out of the other two in my local area (ie 30mins drive) one is also good on caring for animal husbandry while the other is a profit driven machine with arcane ideas on husbandry.
